Raising Awareness

Spreading the word about HANCUK on BBC Radio Lincolnshire
The incidence of Head and Neck Cancer is increasing at an alarming rate. There are currently in excess of 3,000 deaths every year from Head and Neck Cancer. Consequently, HANCUK is committed to raise awareness of the disease, to enable early detection, which generally results in much better outcomes for patients.

HANCUK has been involved in a wide range of awareness events and activities including:

  • presentations to trainee Dentists, pharmaceutical companies and BAHNO (British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists);
  • participating in conferences and meetings; and
  • broadcasting to a multitude of radio listeners – 4.4 million listeners over the relevant programmes within the various stations.
